The changes to F1 this year are enormous. Smaller turbo engines and a completely new ERS (energy recovery systems) that mean far different braking, and much more torque. The aerodynamics have been changed with smaller front wings, DRS (drag recovery system) that open wider on certain straights and exhaust outlets that eliminate blown diffusers. Fuel is limited to 100 kilos and even fuel flow is limited. Here is a Red Bull video that helps to explain many of the changes:
