Coming Soon – Autoweek’s Fantasy Camp

Friday the thirteenth of next week I step out of a plane and into a great weekend adventure in Dearborn, MI, courtesy of Autoweek magazine.  I am one of the lucky twenty participants in this year’s Fantasy Camp

Friday night will consist of a welcome reception at the Dearborn Inn, but the real fun starts Saturday morning with breakfast at Ford’s test track.  Next will be an introduction to the track and some seat time with instructors before we take to the track ourselves.

We will be testing the top sporty coupes selling for $50K or under as voted on by Autoweek readers.  The lineup will consist of: Audi A5, BMW 1 –series, BMW 3-series, Cadillac CTS, Chevy Camaro, Dodge Challenger, Ford Mustang, Infinity G37, MB E350, and the VW GTI coupe.

It should be a full day of driving that will likely leave us all tired and smiling, but not so tired that we won’t be able to enjoy a pool-side dinner with Chip Foose and many of the editorial staff of Autoweek,

Sunday we also enjoy a special tour of the Racing in America collection at the Henry Ford Museum before we dash off to the airport.

This is an event of a lifetime and I must say that the Autoweek staff has done everything they can to make this a most memorable event.

More upon my return…
